Japan Post Price Increase

Japan Post price changes from 1st June, 2016.

Japan Post issued a press release stating that international shipping prices will increase as of 1st June, 2016. Here is the press release (in Japanese):

For EMS, the biggest change would probably be the removal of the minimum size of 300g. Now, the minimum size is up to 500g.

As for the price changes, here is a summary:

Zone 1 (Asia): 300 yen increase
Zone 2a (North America/Oceania/Middle East): 500 yen increase
Zone 2b (Europe): 400 yen increase
Zone 3 (South America, Africa): 300 yen increase

For sea post, Zone 1 (Asia) will be increasing by 100 yen. See the bottom of the page for the new chart.
